If you have one of those frequent flyer cards, it's time to make sure it pays for itself. I hear of some recent changes introduced by American airlines aimed at toughening the rules of earning and redeeming miles. They make you spend harder to accumulate the reasonable number of miles. Also, there are not enough seats available to fly and you never know if you will get one. To be sure you'll benefit from a frequent flyer card, you need to spend twice as much as a greater amount of the miles give you some guarantee of a free flight.
I have a card with Delta but, I doubt now if this is the highest yielding rewards deal... If you have some thoughts to share on the topic, feel free to comment.
